Dear Students,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to Government Polytechnic, Miraj. Institute has set itself a vision, “To develop technologically competent industry-ready technicians having high values and national concern”. The motivating environment in institute for knowledge assimilation, technical skills and high values with a sense of social responsibility, human values and concern for nation commitment has carved a niche for itself among the best technical institutes. The special emphasis is on Outcome Based Education (OBE) and Experiential Learning. The academic activities concentrate on helping the students to gain a technical knowledge base and in the development of skills to implement them. We are constantly reviewing our set up to update and improve while making sure that students gain technical skills, entrepreneurial skills, interpersonal and communication skills. Institute has established a strong industry links with about 30 various industrious, have set up of laboratories and also engaged in developmental activities with the institute. There is also an ample of scope in co-curricular and extracurricular activities wherein the students are encouraged to show their talents. It ensures that the students prove themselves to be not only well qualified engineers but also very responsible and ideal citizens of our country. In institute, it is believed and practiced that excellence is a continuous process and in pursuit of which the institute has made deep forays into contributing world renowned technocrats, successful entrepreneurs and competent leaders. We give special care and attention for the students belonging to socially, economically and educationally backward classes so as to make them highly competent technical professionals.
