Polymer Technology Department

The only institution in Pune division offering Polymer Technology Diploma with a distinctive employment supplement course. Since most of the items used in daily life are made from this plastic and its use will triple in the next 5 years, 100% job opportunities are available. 6 months of industrial training is provided in the sixth semester of the course.


Post-diploma Future: Direct entry into the second year of Degree Engineering, eligible for admission to degree branches such as Plastic, Chemical, Petrochemical. Job opportunities are available in various sectors like plastic synthesis, plastic processing, rubber industry, oil, paints industry, automobile, aerospace.

  • 1) To develop intellectually students through effective teaching-learning process by providing good academic environment.

  • 1) Basic and Discipline specific knowledge: - Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.
  • 2) Problem Analysis: - Identify and analyze well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.
  • 3) Design/development of solutions: - Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.
  • 4) Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: - Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.
  • 5) Engineering Practices for Society, Sustainability and Environment: - Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.
  • 6) Project Management: - Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.
  • 7) Life Long Learning: - Ability to an analyze individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.

  • 1) PSO1:- Polymer Technology: - Use relevant raw materials and polymer products manufacturing equipment’s and technologies to produce polymer products at optimal cost.
  • 2) PSO2:- Software Usage: - Use relevant computer aided simulation software to design molds and dies to produce polymer products at optimal cost.
